    And he may win because he is pure talent, no gimmcks, no flashy special effects, and because I picked him from day 1…and he didn’t get voted off and have to be ‘saved’..

    It is no longer possible for Phillips to win. If either Jessica or Joshua are shown the door on Thursday, one of these two will get almost all of the votes from the other. Jessica fans are more prone to like Joshua, and visa versa. In most recent polls, Phillips is in third place compared to Jessica and Joshua. Basically, it would take a miracle for Phillips to win American Idol.
